red & bulging...

It could be a Stille record, both girls have had red, bulging ear infections in both ears over the past week. Tessa went in for her 4 month check and was healthy save for the ears, and Tatum has had nothing but ear infections since November. We had already scheduled her second set of tubes along with an adenoidectomy per recommendation from our ENT physician. Today our pediatrician suggested that it might be in her best interest to try to move that June 1 date up a little if possible. So since I have the "in" with Tatum's ENT doc, they are going to try to add her in on a Friday morning when I have the day off. I know this stuff is no big deal, but we all know it is just the worst seeing the pain in your child's eyes. Especially when you didn't realize it until they were really hurting because they are such troopers. Mom has an otoscope at home now, so we will have to begin weekly ear inspections.... line em up!

Tatum did get to spend the morning with mommy at work before her Dr. appointment. She learned about what an "office" is and a "copier". We even photocopied her hand which she thought was majorly cool.

A Routine... almost

Things are good here in the Stille household. Lisa starts back to work on Monday, and things are ready to go and in place at her daycare. Tessa definatley has a nightime routine and knows when it is time to sleep, but the longest she sleeps is 8 or 9PM to midnight, then after that is up every few hours to eat, then sleeps again for a few hours. So Mommy's new bedtime is 9PM!

Tatum has learned some interesting phrases at daycare, such as "you'd better not!!!" or "Mommy, you keep an eye on him" while pointing to Elmo! Oh and today it was "What's the big deal???" To celebrate our last collective weekday together as a family of four, we hit the Children's museum on Tuesday and had a great time. They have a great construction exhibit on the top floor where Tatum really enjoyed working on "projects", such as the use of pulleys, hammering, clamping, and learning to use a screwdriver.
